My first taste of business came at 14, making flavoured popcorn for a school project. At 15, with my mum supervising, I sold Studio cards to family for a bit of commission. From that point, business has woven itself into my life.

Over the years, I’ve taken on all kinds of ventures—from running licensed riverside tea rooms and a successful B&B, to creating hampers, selling candles and clothes, and leading a team with The Body Shop at Home. More recently, I’ve run my healing business and taught meditation. Each chapter has been different, but each has taught me something valuable about life—and about business.

It hasn’t always been easy. There were times of exhaustion, moments of tears when things felt impossible, and sacrifices that meant missing family moments I’ll never get back. I’ve been let down, judged, and carried heavy responsibility. I’ve faced both the worst and the best of times.

But alongside it all, there’s been laughter, connection, friendships, and those magical moments when everything clicks. Those are the moments that keep you going—and the people who carried me through them will always stay in my heart.

So when I say I understand small businesses, I mean it. Not just the practical stuff—accounting, staffing, and logistics—but the highs, the lows, and the emotional journey that comes with it. That’s why I care so deeply about supporting others on their path.

I’m not here to show off. I’m here to shine a light on the incredible small businesses Hampshire has to offer—and the people behind them who, no matter what, show up every day - that's BRAVE !
